Hopefully you and your loved ones are keeping safe during this period of uncertainty and the spread of Covid-19. As of Monday (March 23rd) we will be closed except for children of emergency workers, in line with the Department for Education’s instructions. But even so, we will not be closing our virtual doors!
Home packs, remote learning, and other educational methods will be deployed as of Monday and all our staff will continue working full-time. The picture above is from World Book Day a couple of weeks ago, which was followed by British Science Week. We will be building on the special acitivities that took place then, ensuring the continuity of our children’s learning experiences as much as possible.
We are even preparing to start virtual show-arounds for September 2020 registrations. Please stay tuned for the opportunity to arrange a tour like this, if you are looking for a place from the new school year, and do get in touch with us with any queries.
We are beginning to discuss individual arrangements with our existing parents, and at a group level we are making use of modern technologies to stay in touch, continue children’s learning, and extend the possibilities of what is possible to do on the virtual level. There is a lot of scope in providing ideas for home learning and indeed outdoor learning as well. Some of our inspiration is coming from the experiences of our Italian counterparts, as for example explained in this brief interview of an early years educator on how they have coped with these recent developments.
Keep safe, stay in touch, and let us know if we can help in some way.
With our warmest regards,
Alexandra, Carley, & the whole team
